A short account of browser storage used by BITAN and how optional analytics works.
What is active now
Google Analytics 4 is available only after you choose “Allow analytics”. Before that choice, BITAN does not load the Google tag or send analytics requests. The site stores one first-party consent cookie named bitan-consent-v1 across BITAN and its catalog subdomains so it can remember whether you chose essential-only or allowed analytics. Existing choices in the former local-storage value are read during migration. Neither contains identity or enquiry content.
Essential storage
Storage strictly needed for security, reliable delivery or retaining your privacy choice does not require analytics consent. It is not used to build a marketing profile or follow you across websites.
Optional analytics
BITAN uses a conservative consent setup: no Google Analytics script or network request before affirmative consent, no advertising features, and no names, email addresses, phone numbers or project text in analytics events. Consent Mode does not replace your choice.
Analytics is not marketing
Allowing GA4 only permits the optional measurement described above. It does not subscribe you to BITAN updates or permit outbound marketing. A marketing subscription, where offered, uses a separate affirmative choice on the enquiry form and can be withdrawn at any time.
Change your choice
Change your choice below at any time. Rejecting optional analytics does not limit access to the site. Clearing browser storage will reset the choice.
