Outbound contact policy

EU outbound records

For outbound contact involving people in the EU, BITAN records the source of the contact details, the date collected, the proposed relevance, the channel and the person responsible. Where legitimate interests is used, the record also contains the specific rationale and balancing assessment: why the contact is relevant, what a person would reasonably expect, and why the contact does not override their interests or rights.

Consent is used where applicable law requires it. Legitimate interests is not treated as a shortcut around local electronic marketing rules. Sensitive personal data is not sought for outbound prospecting.

Before and after sending

• Every contact is checked against the global suppression registry before an address or number enters a send list.
• The sender identifies BITAN, explains the relevant reason for the message and provides a clear, no-cost opt-out method.
• Opt-outs are recorded promptly, removed from active campaign lists and rechecked before any follow-up or new campaign.
• The registry keeps only the identifier and evidence needed to prevent another promotional contact, with restricted access.

Request no outbound contact

Email hello@bitan.studio with outbound opt-out in the subject. Include the email address or phone number to suppress. No explanation is required. This blocks promotional outreach from BITAN globally; it does not prevent a reply that you specifically requested unless you ask BITAN not to reply at all.
